Hitachi NT50AE2 Brad Nailer

I’ve been using my Hitachi NT50AE2 18 gauge brad nailer for a while now, and I’m completely pleased with it. Really, it’s one of the best tools I own. Drop your hammer and get yourself one too.

The NT50AE2 is a lightweight and functional pneumatic brad nailer useful for doing small-scale woodwork, from installing cabinets in making picture frames to building furniture. It’s lightweight at just a little over 2 pounds and is ergonomically designed with a good balance. It features a soft elastomer grip which is comfortable to hold, and you can maneuver the brad nailer around easily without fatigue.

Some of the other positive features about this tool are that it has a large magazine, 360-degree-adjustable vent for the exhaust, easily adjustable depth of drive (no tools required), a toggle for bump fire versus sequential fire, and a removable nose cap. To change the depth of drive, simply turn the adjustment knob to make fast and accurate changes. And clearing jams is easy and convenient.

The Hitachi NT50AE2 18 Gauge Brad Nailer brad nailer accepts 5/8 to 2 inch 18 gauge nails, and requires 70 to 120 psi of pressure to operate properly. At 100 psi, it consumes air at .025 cubic feet per cycle. One thing to note is that no oil is included in the case. I’m assuming it won’t be a big deal if you have a lot of tools already. The package contents do include safety glasses, an air fitting, hex wrenches, and a carrying case.

So far my Hitachi brad nailer has been working without any problems whatsoever, with the nails driven perfectly every single time, and the nailer has not even jammed once. I was very happy with the price I paid, and honestly I would’ve paid much more knowing what a quality tool it is now. If you’re in the market for a brad nailer, take a look at the Hitachi NT50AE2 18 Gauge Brad Nailer. I don’t think you’ll be sorry.
