Waxing the floor may be used as a replacement to sealing but it will not give as a high a level of stain resistance. The great thing about wax is that it is not permanent, it may also give a good lustre. Wax and oil can prevent this product from adhering. Always use a clean applicator. Sweep or vacuum the floor often to avoid build up of abrasive particles. To clean, use only cleaners specified to be used on pre-finished hardwood floors available from your local retailer or home center. Sweep the dirt into the dustpan then throw it away. You don’t want to trap pieces of leaves under a layer of wax.
